Job summary

Medicalodges, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct and indirect nursing care to residents in our Kansas facility.

The role emphasizes adherence to physician orders and the resident plan of care while delivering compassionate geriatric care. You will perform rounds, document findings, update care plans, administer medications, and support daily living activities, reporting to the nursing leadership and supervising staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in good standing (Kansas).
• CPR certification required or willingness to obtain.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and make sound nursing decisions within scope.
• Interest in geriatric care.

Responsibilities

• Perform resident reviews on admission and document findings in the electronic clinical record.
• Update care plans as resident status changes and communicate changes to staff.
• Administer and document medications, treatments, and procedures per orders.
• Address resident and family concerns and document actions.
• Routinely round to ensure safe, comfortable care and adherence to planned care.
• Assist with activities of daily living for residents.
• Supervise and assist nursing activities of direct care staff.

Medicalodges is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the primary responsibility of performing direct and indirect nursing care in accordance with physician orders and the resident plan of care. Job Responsibilities:

• Performs resident reviews on admission, monitors the health status on a continuing basis, and documents all findings in the electronic clinical record
• Updates the care plan with change in resident status and communicates changes to licensed and direct care staff
• Administers and documents medication, treatment, and procedures in accordance with physician orders and the resident plan of care
• Responds to and documents resident and family concerns and actions taken
• Routinely performs rounds to verify residents are in a safe and comfortable environment and receiving planned care
• Assists in and provides assistance with activities of daily living of the residents
• Supervises, assigns and assists in the nursing activities of the direct care staff

Job Requirements:

• Current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing in the state in which the facility is located
• Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and make sound nursing decisions within scope of practice
• Interest in working with geriatric patients
