Genesis HealthCare in Albuquerque, NM seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to deliver efficient nursing care under the supervision of an RN. You will evaluate residents, participate in assessments and care planning, administer medications, and supervise care provided by unlicensed staff.

Requirements include graduation from an approved Practical/Vocational Nursing program, active LPN licensure or pending licensure, and current BLS/CPR.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school for practical or vocational nursing.
• Must be licensed by the State Board of Nursing or be pending licensure.
• Maintain current BLS/CPR certification as required by state practice.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients/residents to collect data, observe condition and report changes.
• Contribute to nursing assessments and care planning.
• Administer medications and perform treatments per physician orders.
• Supervise and monitor patient care provided by unlicensed staff.

Education

Responsibilities

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), the Licensed Practical Nurse delivers efficient and effective nursing care while achieving positive clinical outcomes and patient/family satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an approved school for practical or vocational nursing.
• Must be currently licensed by the State Board of Nursing or pending licensed practical nurse licensure.
• Must maintain current BLS/CPR certification if employed at a skilled nursing center or as required by the state of practice if an assisted living facility.
