We are currently seeking an experienced:

LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN)

Full Time, Days

Job Description:

• Assist in directing nursing services for the unit/hall, in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Delegate duties to professional and non-professional nursing staff, monitoring work performance under RN supervision.
• Observe patients for symptoms or reactions, including physical and mental conditions, indicating adverse changes.
• Notify attending physicians of emergencies and patient deaths; implement changes in orders as instructed by physicians.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with an active LPN license.
• Current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing; proof of renewal required every other year.
• Willingness to serve as charge nurse and work during emergencies to ensure adequate coverage.
• Ability to provide quality nursing care, follow doctors’ orders, and demonstrate a genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
• CPR certification renewed yearly.
• Participation in in-service training and staff meetings as required.
