Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health System is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct nursing care for assigned patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The role emphasizes team collaboration, accurate documentation, and adherence to the patient care plan.

The position requires NC LPN licensure, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage the physical demands of the role including lifting and long periods of standing.

Qualifications

• Education and licensure requirements are met: high school graduation or equivalent and active LPN license in NC or a compact state.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Strong verbal and written communication in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Participates in assessment of patients and documents findings.
• Collaborates with nursing and other departments to develop the patient plan of care.
• Provides direct nursing care under RN supervision and follows the plan of care.
• Administers medications as ordered and maintains accurate patient records.
• Maintains a safe environment and responds to life-threatening situations promptly.
