Responsibilities

Are you a dedicated and compassionate Nurse looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of adolescents and young adults? Newport Healthcare is seeking an enthusiastic RN or LPN to provide on-site nursing and care in our supportive and nurturing facilities. What You'll Do:

• Administering medications and monitoring vital signs, ensuring accurate documentation in medical records.
• Evaluating medical complaints and concerns from residents, effectively communicating with our Nurse Practitioners and Physicians.
• Developing and implementing treatment plans, providing direct care and nursing services as prescribed.
• Monitoring chronic health conditions, respiratory distress, and seizures, ensuring timely interventions.
• Maintaining comprehensive medical records and logs, adhering to all mandated reporting and infection control protocols.
• Collaborating with Care Coordinators regarding medication management and refills.
• Participating in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings, contributing your expertise to enhance patient care.

Qualifications

• • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a Nursing Degree;
  • Licensure: Current LPN/LVN licensure with the California State Board of Nursing is a must.
  • Experience: Ideally, you bring previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with adolescents and/or young adults
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to make sound judgment calls in high-pressure scenarios.

  **Pay range for this position is $31.28 to $43.80 depending on education and experience.

An individual's pay rate within the posted range is determined by several factors, including skills, experience, education, and market conditions.
