Position Details

We are currently seeking an experienced LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN) for a part-time night shift.

Responsibilities

• Assist in directing nursing services for the unit/hall, following the Nursing Practice Act, under RN supervision.
• Delegate duties to nursing staff and monitor their work performance.
• Observe patients for symptoms or reactions, including physical and mental conditions.
• Notify physicians of emergencies or patient deaths; implement orders as instructed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with an active LPN license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
• Valid license renewal proof required every other year.
• Willingness to serve as charge nurse and work during emergencies for adequate coverage.
• Ability to deliver quality nursing care, follow doctor’s orders, and demonstrate interest in geriatric nursing.
• CPR certification valid yearly.
• Participation in in-service training and staff meetings.
