Job summary

United Health Services (UHS) is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Inpatient Specialty Care units at UHS Wilson Medical Center. The role involves delivering skilled nursing care under the supervision of an RN or physician in the Delivery Room and other inpatient areas.

The position follows an evening rotational shift with 32 hours per week. Candidates should have a NYS Practical Nurse license and a diploma from an accredited Practical Nursing program; CCU/hospital

Qualifications

• Graduated an accredited school of Practical Nursing.
• Experience in a critical care or hospital environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care tasks and procedures under the direction of an RN, nurse practitioner, clinical nurse specialist, physician, or other authorized health care provider.
• Perform duties in the Inpatient Specialty Care departments, including the Delivery Room at UHS Wilson Medical Center.
• Contribute to patient care plans and collaborate with the healthcare team.

Compensation Range:

$25.27 - $37.90 per hour, depending on experience

Education/Experience

• Minimum Required:
  • Graduated an accredited school of Practical Nursing
• Preferred:
  • Experience working in critical care or hospital environment

License/Certification

• Minimum Required:
  • Current New York State Practical Nurse License or Permit
• Preferred:
  • Basic Skills Certifications (CPR)
