Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse program.
  • Current state licensure as a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse.

Expected to open in 2024, this 60-bed, 66,000-square-foot, two-story inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital operates jointly with Lifepoint Rehabilitation and Mercy Health. Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate knowledge of medication administration appropriate to the patient's age and clinical condition.
  • Provide patient care tailored to the needs of geriatric and general inpatient rehabilitation patients.
  • Assist with patient assessments and reassessments under the supervision of the R.N., and initiate appropriate rehabilitation nursing interventions.
  • Perform timely and accurate quality improvement assessments under supervision.
  • Implement the care plan based on patient needs and responses, evaluating its effectiveness daily and updating the interdisciplinary care plan accordingly.
  • Engage professionally with patients and families, involving them in care planning.
  • Assess and manage pain effectively, educating patients and families on pain management techniques.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse program.
  • Current state licensure as a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse.
  • CPR/BCLS certification; ACLS preferred.
  • IV certification required or obtained within 6 months of employment.
  • Minimum of six months' Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
