Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for PRN shifts in geriatrics. Under RN supervision, you will perform identified nursing care, assist with data collection, plan patient care, and help evaluate outcomes within your scope.

Minimum qualifications include graduation from an accredited LPN program, SC licensure or compact state, and BLS certification. Prior LPN experience is preferred; schedules offer 24 or 48 hours per 6 weeks with hourly pay.

Under the direction of a registered nurse is responsible for all identified nursing care behaviors within his/her span of control during his/her tour of duty and is accountable to the Charge Nurse and/or designated individual.
