Job summary

WyndStone is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality nursing care under the supervision of the Administrator and Health Director. You will assess Elders, oversee nursing treatments, and collaborate with medical staff to determine appropriate care.

You will maintain and implement care plans, document accurately, participate in family meetings, and assist with admit/discharge processes.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Montana LPN; health care experience preferred.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to respond promptly to elder needs.

Responsibilities

The WyndStone nurse works cooperatively and respectfully with residents, coworkers, families, medical staff, visitors, and volunteers to create a positive and safe environment.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION: NursingProvides nursing care to residents of Wyndstone by assessing Elders and overseeing the administration of nursing treatments. Works closely with providers to determine appropriate care.Promote and ensure professional standards of nursing care and elder satisfaction with both elder and family involvement; observes elder status as necessary to assure quality care and coordinates with the rest of the Wyndstone care team to assure continuity of care.Identify changes in condition; provide assessment, identify needs, communicate with providers, and initiate/direct treatments or interventions.Responds to and leads emergency situationsPerforms record keeping according to policies developed by St. John’s United in accordance with state and federal regulations.
