Job summary

Grand Living in West Des Moines, IA is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to enhance resident care and lead nursing staff. You will provide direct care, administer medications per physician orders, and ensure clinical competence through staff education and supervision.

The role requires an active LPN license in the state, a Nursing degree, and experience in assisted living or home health care is preferred. Competitive benefits and a PTO program are offered.

Qualifications

• Associates/Associate's degree in Nursing is required.
• Three or more years of nursing experience preferred.
• Assisted living or home health care experience preferred.
• Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse in the state of employment required.
• Ability to obtain any government required license or certificate.
• Ability to read, write and understand English to educate, train and supervise staff.
• Knowledge of resident rights and privacy, dignity, and safety.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, push/pull, and lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and administer medications per orders.
• Lead and supervise nursing staff including aides and medication aides.
• Ensure evaluation and clinical competence through orientation and training.
• Maintain compliance with state regulations and Grand Living standards.
