Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Colorado seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Float Pool Urgent Care across four sites: Lone Tree, Aurora Centerpoint, Rock Creek (Lafayette), and Lakewood. You will support physicians, perform nursing duties, and ensure patient safety and quality care.

Responsibilities include administering medications, rooming patients, IV therapy as needed, and providing compassionate care with strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program and licensed as a Practical Nurse (LPN) in Colorado.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• LPN license (Colorado) and BLS within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Complies with Kaiser Permanente quality, safety and emergency policies.
• Ensures patient safety in medication administration, infection prevention, and use of patient identifiers.
• Supports physicians and other providers, rooming patients, and communicating delays to teams.
• Performs routine nursing procedures per physician orders and approved care plans.
• May perform IV therapy if IV certified and per state guidance.
• Assists in orienting and training new staff and may coordinate activities for nursing staff.
