KDMC Ashland Hospital Corporation is seeking a licensed practical nurse for full-time support in the Emergency Room. You will perform patient assessments, direct care, and simple procedures under RN supervision, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.

Responsible for providing patient-centered care as part of a multidisciplinary ambulatory team by performing assessments, direct care, and simple procedures within the LPN scope of practice. Works under RN supervision to implement and evaluate nursing care plans and ensure patient satisfaction. Delegates tasks to nursing assistants and adheres to regulatory standards. Fosters collaboration to enhance patient outcomes and experiences.
High school diploma or equivalent and Vocational/technical training in relevant area
0-2 years of experience in a healthcare, clinical setting, or a relevant areaAn equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All experience must be paid and in the same related field. Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week. Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
Current and active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in applicable state, Basic Life Support (BLS)
This position requires intermittent standing or walking with objects up to 10 pounds; occasional standing or walking with objects up to 25 pounds; occasional lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds; occasional sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; and performing tasks with intermittent repetitive motions (such as typing or patient care activities). Also involves occasional exposure to risk of back injury from moving or positioning patients or equipment, risk of injuries from use of equipment, temperature extremes, hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste, burns, cuts/punctures, bloodborne or airborne pathogens, and occasional interaction with combative or violent people.
