Job summary

Geisinger Community Care Wilkes-Barre is seeking a regular full-time nurse to join our clinical team. You will provide primary clinical support to the provider, document patient histories, vital signs, and assist with examinations.

Typical shifts 7:30 am to 7 pm, with only one evening per week required through 7 pm. Full-time benefits start on day one, and a $5,000 sign-on bonus is available.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Nursing (Required).
• Minimum 1 year nursing experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• LPN license may be required depending on position.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care as directed by the provider.
• Assist with minor surgical diagnostic procedures and ancillary examinations.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and associated paperwork.
• Administer medications and vaccines under provider supervision.
• Maintain clean, aseptic exam rooms and prepare instruments between cases.
