Job summary

Saint Luke’s Health System in Kansas City, MO, seeks an LPN to join the Cardiovascular Clinic at the Plaza. This day-shift, full-time role offers options of 7:00–5:30 for four days or 8:30–5:00 for five days each week, with no nights or weekends.

The position supports nursing care, patient flow, EMR documentation, INR instruction, and collaboration with the cardiology team. It may float to Saint Luke’s East, North and South.

Qualifications

• LPN licensure with KS/NURSYS required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Less than 1 year of applicable nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care following established standards.
• Manage patient flow and coordinate patient care with the team.
• Enter lab results from home monitoring and outside labs into EMR; provide INR instructions.
• Communicate with physicians and cardiology staff to ensure best-practice care.
• Greet patients, prepare for examinations, and assist with EKGs.
• May cover Medical Assistant duties as needed.

We are hiring an LPN at our Cardiovascular Clinic! This position provides professional nursing care for patients following established standards and practices.

Responsible for patient flow and coordination of patient care. Receives lab results from home monitoring and outside labs enters into EMR provides INR results to patients with dosage instructions. Communicates with Physician, Nurse Practitioner, Cardiology Nurse Clinician, and home health nurses to provide best practice patient care. Screens patients for appropriate information. Greets patients and prepares them for examinations EKG. Screens patients for appropriate information. May be responsible for covering Medical Assistant job duties as needed.

This position will be based at the Plaza and may float to multiple offices including Saint Luke's East , North and South.
