Licensed Practical Nurse - Brain Trauma Unit - Per Diem Days

Join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Brain Trauma Unit at JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute. This acute inpatient program provides comprehensive care for adults recovering from brain injuries.

Our interdisciplinary team uses an integrated approach to support patients and families, focusing on exceptional rehabilitation nursing, including physical, occupational, speech, recreational therapies, neuropsychology, social work, and rehabilitation medicine.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical support under the supervision of RNs and clinical supervisors.
  • Administer medications and treatments as per RN orders.
  • Assist with patient care activities, including hygiene, nutrition, and daily activities.
  • Monitor and report patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatment.
  • Support patient and family education and discharge planning.
  • Participate in emergent situations and ensure proper documentation.
Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited LPN program.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient needs.
  • Strong accountability and dedication to ongoing education.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Licensed Practical Nurse license.
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
