Licensed Practical Nurse - BMA Cardiology

Join to apply for the Licensed Practical Nurse - BMA Cardiology role at UPMC.

UPMC Altoona Regional Health Services is hiring a full-time LPN to support BMA Cardiology. This role works Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm.

This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus:

• $7,500 for LPNs with at least one year of experience
• $5,000 for LPNs with less than one year of experience (including GPNs)

The LPN acts as part of the healthcare team, exercising sound nursing judgment based on training, knowledge, and experience. Responsibilities include providing direct patient care, following UPMC LPN Practice Guidelines, and collaborating with healthcare team members. The LPN may perform tasks such as IV therapy (if trained), patient assessment, documentation, patient education, and supporting care planning.

Qualifications include:

• Completion of an approved Practical Nursing Program
• Successful completion of IV therapy curriculum (if applicable)
• Current LPN licensure in the practicing state or a multistate license under the NLC
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
• Ability to provide age-specific care and demonstrate growth and development knowledge
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient care skills
