Licensed Practical Nurse - Acute Physical Rehabilitation - Full Time

Summary: Performs the functions of a Licensed Practical Nurse in reassessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients in the Acute Physical Rehabilitation unit during an assigned shift, in collaboration with the RN. Responsible for adhering to all Standards of Nursing Practice and managing supplies and equipment under the direction of a Charge Nurse.

Description: Performs the functions of a Licensed Practical Nurse in reassessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for the Patient Care Unit of patients for an assigned shift, in collaboration with the RN. Is responsible for adhering to all Standards of Nursing Practice, as they apply for managing supplies and equipment under the direction of a Charge Nurse.

Requirements:

  • Ability to prioritize workflow daily and communicate effectively in written and spoken form with individuals of various education levels, including physicians.
  • Ability to interpret medical terminology and understand human anatomy and physiology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. English required; bilingual (English/Spanish or English/French) preferred.
  • Current Louisiana LPN License.
  • Current BLS certification.

Work Schedule: 7pm-7am
