Licensed Practical Nurse - Acute Care/Oncology Full Time

Join our team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our Acute Care/Oncology Nursing Unit. This 31-bed unit features private rooms and central telemetry capabilities. As an LPN, you will work alongside RNs and Patient Care Techs, utilizing our Team Nursing Model to operate at the top of your license.

The unit cares for patients with respiratory issues, stroke, diabetic disorders, and other acute conditions. You will be supported by a multidisciplinary team including social workers, case managers, physical therapists, spiritual care, palliative care, and more.

Position Summary:

Provide high-quality nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, maintaining collaborative relationships with the care team. Maintain knowledge and skills through ongoing education and self-study.

Requirements:

• Current LPN license from the New York State Board of Nursing
• CPR certification

Essential Functions:

1. Assist RNs in patient data collection, care planning, and evaluation.
2. Perform nursing skills and procedures within scope of practice.
3. Document patient information accurately and promptly.
4. Participate in professional development and team activities.
5. Support a positive, efficient work environment.

Additional Duties:

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The pay range for this position is from $26.25 to $38.50 per hour, depending on experience.
