Job summary

Lima Memorial Health System is seeking an LPN to support nursing operations within the physician office practice or health system setting. You will collect data, implement and evaluate nursing care under RN supervision, ensuring quality patient care and collaborative teamwork.

Qualifications include an Ohio LPN license, BLS, IV certification, ACLS within six months, and telemetry experience preferred. Prior office/health system experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Basic Cardiac Dysrhythmia class required within 6 months of hire.
• Intravenous certification required.
• ACLS required or obtained within six months of hire.
• One to three years’ experience in physician office or health system preferred.
• Telemetry experience preferred.

Hours/Pay Period: 72 hours per pay period

Functioning within the Health System’s mission, vision, values, policies and procedures. The LPN functions as a partner to the Registered Nurse with the goal of providing quality patient care. The LPN responsibilities include collecting data, implementing and evaluating nursing care

Education:Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Basic Cardiac Dysrhythmia class is required within 6 months of hire. Intermediate Cardiac Dysrhythmia Class required within 1 year of hire.

Licensure/Certification: Must have a valid unrestricted LPN license for the State of Ohio. Current BLS required. Must have Intravenous certified. ACLS required or obtained within six months of hire.

Experience: One to three years’ experience specific to physician office practice or Health System preferred. Telemetry experience is preferred

Skills: Must have excellent “customer service” skills, including the ability to exhibit patience and tact with all constituents including physicians, patients and associates. Must demonstrate flexibility with work schedule changes. Be cooperative and collaborative, and have the documented ability to work with speed and proficiency while under stress. Must have basic computer skills and EMR (electronic medical records) experience. Must be able to print and write legibly and accurately. Possess the ability to calculate simple mathematics and follow instructions.
