Job summary

The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Licensed Practical Nurse 3 (LPN) in Admissions at Georgia Regional Hospital – Atlanta, located in Decatur, GA.

The LPN role supports the Admissions Unit with medications and injections as needed, observing for adverse reactions, and completing documentation such as vital signs and treatment orders.

Qualifications

• The applicant must hold a Georgia license to practice as an LPN and have at least six months of nursing experience.
• Education options include a High School diploma/GED with completion of an approved LPN program, or a Vocational/Technical degree with Georgia LPN licensure and one year of nursing experience, or equivalent experience at the LPN 2 level.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the Admissions Unit and Intake processes, administer medications and injections as needed, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Complete all applicable documentation, including vital signs, weights, and treatments ordered.

Job Description

The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD), is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Licensed Practical Nurse 3 (LPN) in Admissions at Georgia Regional Hospital – Atlanta, located in Decatur, GA.

Shifts

11:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Job Responsibilities

The LPN is critical to the functioning of the Admissions Unit and Intake process. The nurse will do medications and injections as needed and observe for any adverse reactions. The LPN will complete all documentation that is applicable, to include vital signs, weights and any treatment that are ordered.

Qualifications

Current Georgia license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse AND Six months of nursing experience.

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma/GED and completion of a LPN Program through an approved Georgia Nursing Board; or Vocational/Technical degree from an accredited college and current Georgia license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse and one (1) year of nursing experience; or one (1) year experience required at the lower-level Licensed Practical Nurse 2 (HCT031) or position equivalent.
