Job summary

Merakey Allegheny Valley School (Merakey AVS) is seeking an LPN to provide direct nursing care on the AVS campus. You will perform clinical assessments, monitor seizure activity, and administer medications in a 17-bed facility for adults with IDD and physical disabilities.

The role follows an M-F 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM schedule with shift differentials and a base pay of $29.00 per hour, plus extended evening coverage options. Benefits include medical, retirement, and daily pay access.

Qualifications

• Current license as an LPN in the Commonwealth of PA.
• One year of experience as an LPN preferred.
• Genuine interest in working with individuals with physical and developmental disabilities.
• A current and valid PA driver's license and reliable transportation may be required.

Program Description:

Merakey Allegheny Valley School (Merakey AVS) is a non-profit organization which provides homes and a full range of services to adults with all levels of intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The majority of the nearly 800 individuals that we support are diagnosed with severe or profound IDD. In addition, most of the people we serve have multiple physical disabilities, extensive medical complications and may require supports for challenging behaviors.

Position Description:

The LPN will work on the AVS campus in a 17-bed facility. The nurse will provide direct nursing care to persons with developmental and physical disabilities by completing clinical assessments, recording seizure activity as needed, and administering medications.

Schedule:

M-F 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM

NEW Shift Differentials

• Monday – Thursday | 2:30 PM – 7:00 AM
  + $4.00 per hour
• Friday | 2:30 PM – 6:00 AM
  + $4.00 per hour
• Saturday 6:30 AM – Monday 7:00 AM
  + $6.00 per hour

Base Pay

• Standard base rate: $29.00 per hour
