State of Louisiana's Elmhurst Louisiana Mental Health System (ELMHS) in Jackson, LA is seeking an LPN to deliver comprehensive psychiatric nursing care supervising staff and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will transcribe orders, administer meds, document care, educate patients, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.
The position offers multiple pay levels by progression (LPN1–LPN3) with per-hour premiums and shift differentials; a vehicle license is required.
The Mission of ELMHS is to provide mental health evaluation, treatment, habilitation, and consultation for adults. Programs include inpatient interventions, jail-based evaluations, supervised group home and residential programs, forensic evaluation, care, custody, and aftercare; intermediate and long-term psychiatric care are coordinated with the total system of care in Louisiana.
ELMHS is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join the team in the Nursing Department as an LPN! The selected candidate will provide comprehensive psychiatric nursing care by administering medications and treatments, monitoring patient behavior, documenting clinical care, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, supervising support staff, educating patients, and ensuring compliance with clinical, safety, and regulatory standards.
Possession of a current Louisiana Practical Nurse license, a temporary permit, or a multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state.
