Job summary

New Life Treatment Center Inc in Minnesota is seeking a licensed practical nurse to join our behavioral health and medical detox team. You will provide direct patient care, monitor medical status, administer medications (oral, IM, IV when indicated), and perform in-house blood draws under supervision.

The role requires strong clinical assessment, ability to multi-task in a healthcare setting, good communication, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Valid LPN licensure in Minnesota.
• CPR/First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment). Will train.
• Ability to work scheduled hours and perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities

• Safely implement therapeutic and rehabilitative care.
• Conduct vital signs and ongoing assessments every shift.
• Administer medications accurately (including IV therapy when indicated), observe patient response, and document in the medical record.
• Perform MAR audits, ensure compliance, complete narcotic counts, and dispose of medications per policy.
• Maintain clear communication among clients, staff, and Director of Nursing.
• Assist with admissions and discharges.
• Provide thorough change-of-shift reports with relevant client updates.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
• Document treatment goals, assessments, and patient outcomes in accordance with established policies and standards.

Receive an additional $2.50 premium pay when working between 1600-0800

LPN – Addiction Treatment & Medical Detox

Join our dedicated team at a New Life Treatment Center providing behavioral health services and medically monitored detox, including medication administration (oral, IM, and IV) and in-house blood draws. The Addiction Treatment LPN provides direct patient care under the direction of the Director of Nursing and Medical Director. This role supports individuals who require medical monitoring, mental health assessment, intervention strategies, and structured treatment planning to successfully battle addiction.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Utilize clinical knowledge and skills to safely implement therapeutic and rehabilitative care

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Regular standing, use of hands, talking, and hearing.
• Occasionally sitting, climbing, or balancing.
• Ability to sweep, mop, shovel, and lift up to 40 lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Healthcare setting.
• Occasional exposure to wet, humid, or outdoor conditions

QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid LPN licensure in the State of Minnesota
