Job summary

Loyal Source is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in a corrections setting. Duties include administering medications, maintaining patient records, and supporting treatment and direct patient care as part of the team.

Requirements include 1 year of LPN experience (corrections preferred) and an active BLS certification. IV certification within 90 days is preferred.

Job description

Licensed practical nurses performing duties ranging from entry level to first line supervision. Employees provide a variety of patient care activities such as administering medications, maintaining patient records, and assisting in the treatment and direct care of patients. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides fundamental physical and psychological nursing care to patients as part of the multidisciplinary team in accordance with the facilities mission, Virginia Department of Corrections Standards, physician, and patient expectations.

Pay Rate : $36/hr

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• 1 year of prior LPN experience required, corrections experience preferred.
