Qualifications

• Experience: 1 year.
• License, Registration and/or Certification Requirement: Yes.
• Must administer medications accurately and document appropriately.
• Must perform treatments per established standards and policies.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe resident care, following standards and policies and updating practice with new guidelines.
• Participates in quality improvement for resident care.
• Considers age-specific needs in care, procedures, and treatments.
• Communicates resident information and plan of care during shifts and handoffs.
• Accurately administers medications following the five rights and documents them.
• Performs treatments using sterile or clean technique as required.
• Administers external feedings when indicated.
• Completes care-related tasks within scheduled shift times.
• Cooperates with reassignments for resident care and reports problems or solutions.
• Delegates care issues appropriately to nursing management.

LPN-New Rate Starting at $31.25/hr Up To $32.75/hr "salary adjustment based on years of experience" w/Diff Eve & Nights $34.38/hr

Shift Hours Available:

6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm and 10pm-6am.

Functions

• Provides safe resident care, demonstrating knowledge and competency in completing assigned treatments and procedures according to established standards and policies. Maintains awareness of new updates standards and incorporates them into his/her nursing practice throughout the continuum of care.
• Participates in the improvement process of quality resident care.
• Incorporates age-specific needs, provision of care, procedures, and treatments.
• Communicates pertinent resident information and plan of care before breaks, during transfer, and at shift report.
• Accurately administers medications according to the five rights of medication administration and documentation of same.
• Accurately performs treatments utilizing sterile or clean technique.
• Accurately administers external feedings.
• Completes resident care-related activities within scheduled shift time periods.
• Cooperates with reassignments made in the interest of resident care.
• Reports resident care problems and possible solutions to the appropriate nursing management personnel.
• Delegates resident care problems and possible solutions to the appropriate nursing management personnel.

Working Environment

Safety Equipment: Job may require the use of safety equipment, such as HEPA mask, for infection prevention.

Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure: OSHA Category I- Routine/anticipated exposure. Work involved exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissue.
