Qualifications

• Valid permanent Oklahoma LPN license approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing; OR LPN license recognized through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• Level II requires: Valid permanent Oklahoma LPN license or eNLC-recognized LPN license, plus at least 1 year of practical nursing experience.

• Perform routine and specialized nursing procedures according to licensure and clinical standards.
• Obtain and document vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
• Administer medications as ordered.
• Assist with assessing and documenting patients' health status.

• Evaluate and report patients' responses to nursing interventions.
• Communicate relevant patient information to the appropriate healthcare team members.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Correctional Facility

Location- Taft, OK

Job Type: Contract
Duration: 6 12 months, with option to extend (maximum 12 months total)

Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide direct and indirect nursing care in a correctional facility medical clinic.

The LPN will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse, licensed physician, or dentist and provide safe, professional nursing care to individuals in a correctional healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized nursing procedures according to licensure and clinical standards.
• Obtain and document vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
• Administer medications as ordered.
• Assist with assessing and documenting patients' health status.
• Participate in developing and implementing appropriate plans of care.

Additional Requirements

• Must be willing and able to work assigned shifts and days of the week.
• Must complete required online training before starting the assignment.
• Training consists of 16 modules.
• Proof of completed training must be provided to the facility Nurse Manager before beginning the assignment.
• Online training time is not billable.
