Job summary

Wexford Health Sources, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Saint Marys Correctional Center in St. Marys, WV. The role involves hands-on nursing under RNs and medical providers, delivering medications, monitoring patients, and supporting daily living activities.

This position is weekend nights (7:30 PM–8:00 AM), part-time with one shift per week and a premium differential. You will join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to safe, compassionate care for a vulnerable population.

Qualifications

• Active unrestricted LPN license in state of practice.
• 1-2 years of nursing experience (correctional experience preferred).
• Active CPR certification.
• Strong clinical and communication skills; adaptability in high‑pressure settings.
• A compassionate, nonjudgmental approach to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Administering medications and treatments as ordered.
• Assisting with activities of daily living and therapeutic interventions.
• Taking vital signs and monitoring patient conditions.
• Providing wound care and changing dressings.
• Supporting documentation and care planning.
• Promoting hygiene, sanitation, and a safe environment for all patients.
• Serving as a vital part of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
