Job summary

Mountain Community Health Partnership (MCHP) is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our clinical team in North Carolina. The LPN will provide nursing care under the direction and supervision of Registered Nurses, Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants in accordance with the North Carolina Nursing Practice Act.

The LPN will serve as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers, ensuring quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with NC LPN license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• 1 year nursing experience preferred.
• Bilingual abilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in data collection including chief complaint, allergies, medications, medical history and vital signs.
• Provide ongoing assessment of patient status and report changes to supervising healthcare provider.
• Facilitate coordination of care by obtaining and tracking test results and consult records.
• Engage in pre-planning and daily huddles to discuss patients on the day’s schedule.
• Perform delegated nursing functions using established policies, procedures, and standards of care.
• Administer medications, perform venipuncture for lab specimens, and assist in emergencies.
• Work cooperatively with team members and assist in their assignments.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, detail-oriented, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and critical thinking skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Bilingual, preferred.
