Job summary

The Oklahoma County Crisis Intervention Center (OCCIC) is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our multi-discipline team serving high-risk individuals in the metro area. You will provide nursing assessments, plan and implement care, and administer medications per physician orders.

A trauma-informed, patient-centered approach guides our practice. We offer a full-time position with four 10-hour shifts; evenings and nights may be required.

Qualifications

  • Possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a licensed practical nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.
  • Two years of practical nursing experience for LPN III; one year for LPN II; or licensure via eNLC.
  • Must meet physical requirements including lifting up to 50 pounds and pushing/pulling up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct or indirect professional nursing services for crisis services.
  • Conduct nursing assessments, planning, interventions, evaluations, and health education.
  • Administer medications and treatments prescribed by authorized personnel.
  • Perform case management as part of crisis intervention care.

The treatment philosophy is trauma sensitive, co-occurring, person-centered and recovery-oriented in nature. Position is assigned responsibilities for providing direct or indirect professional nursing services for crisis services.
