Job summary

ExperCARE is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our urgent care and primary care team in Northport, AL. You will room patients, take vitals, assist with exams, administer medications, and perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and other procedures as ordered.

The ideal candidate holds an active LPN license in Alabama with CPR/BLS certification and strong communication skills. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential in this fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Previous experience in urgent care, family practice, emergency medicine, or primary care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain accurate vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints.
• Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Administer medications, injections, immunizations, and treatments as ordered.
• Perform specimen collection, phlebotomy, EKGs, point-of-care testing, and other clinical procedures within scope of practice.
• Assist with wound care, splinting, suture removal, and other minor procedures.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment.
• Document patient information accurately in the EMR.
• Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
• Monitor patient flow to promote efficient clinic operations.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, OSHA, HIPAA, and safety standards.
• Maintain medical supplies and assist with inventory management.
• Support both urgent care and primary care workflows based on daily clinic needs.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and team members.
• Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
