This is advanced practical nursing work in the care and treatment of patients or residents in a facility of the Missouri Division of Youth Services. This position performs a variety of nursing duties including preparing nursing assessment summaries and health care plans, implementing health care plans, instructing residents and patients in performing personal health care, and performing preventative nursing care.
The following tasks are the responsibility of the Licensed Practical Nurse:
Knowledge, skills & abilities
Knowledge of current nursing theory, practices, and techniques. Ability to work assigned schedule which may include a variety of shifts, weekends, holidays, and/or required overtime.
Possession of a current license to practice as a Practical Nurse in the State of Missouri or in accordance with Missouri’s Nurse Licensure Compact; and one or more years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Pursuant to State Law, this position requires accreditation, licensure, and/or professional or occupational license which is only available to holders of specific post-secondary degrees
Special Requirements: Possession of a valid driver’s license
