Job summary

AMG Specialty Hospital – Houston is seeking Full Time Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for all shifts at Houston Medical Center – AMG Specialty Hospital. LPNs provide direct and indirect patient care, maintaining regulatory requirements and communicating changes in patient condition with the care team.

Requirements include a current Texas LPN license, BLS certification; ACLS within 90 days of hire; 6 months to 1 year of experience preferred; English reading/writing and basic computer knowledge

Qualifications

• Active Texas LPN licensure is required.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of hire preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• ICU/critical care experience preferred.
• Six months to one year of work experience preferred.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Additional languages desirable.
• Basic computer knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care per policy and standards.
• Communicate with physicians and team members about patient condition and diagnostic results.
• Perform nursing duties across departments under supervision of a RN.

Houston Medical Center – AMG Specialty Hospital is seeking Full TimeLicense Practical Nurses, (LPN) for all shifts.Our Licensed Practical Nurses provide direct and indirect patient care services that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care; meets the communication needs of patient and family; provides care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Maintain regulatory agency requirements, nursing and hospital policies, procedures and standards. Communicate with physicians and team members about changes in patient’s clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.

• Current Texas License Practical Nurse Licensure.
• ICU/critical care experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification (within 90 days of hire date).
