PrimeCare Medical, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the Adams County Adult Correctional Complex in Gettysburg, PA.

The full-time night shift (6:00pm–6:00am) is available, offering comprehensive nursing care under established protocols and close collaboration with medical staff. The ideal candidate holds an active PA LPN license, can manage EMR documentation, administer medications, and participate in routine rounds and meetings (MAT/IDT).

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice nursing in Pennsylvania.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care per written protocol.
• Maintain and secure electronic medical records.
• Record/dispense medications and track controlled substances.
• Attend MAT and IDT meetings weekly.
• Correctional health care experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

PrimeCare Medical, Inc. is looking for dedicated and hard-working Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to work in the medical department at the Adams County Adult Correctional Complex located in Gettysburg, PA.

Available Shifts:

• Full-Time Night Shift (6:00pm - 6:00am)

Job Responsibilities:

• The Licensed Practical Nurse will primarily be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care while ensuring the proper flow of relevant information is disseminated to appropriate personnel. In addition, the Licensed Practical Nurse will also maintain, update, and work with electronic medical records and ensure that they are secure. Other responsibilities will include:
• Maintaining accurate records of all controlled substances, narcotics, and sharps in accordance with applicable state and federal laws.
• Conducting sick calls for inmates/patients and providing treatment for illnesses and injuries, defined by written protocol and approved by the PCM Medical Director.
• Observing, reporting, and documenting symptoms, reactions, and progress of inmates/patients and participating in the formulation of the plan of care.
• Record, retrieve, and file medical information in the inmate/patient medical record.
• Responsible for Medication Administration and documentation.
• Attending MAT meetings and IDT Meetings weekly

(Please note that the pay range is not a sliding scale based on experience; it reflects the base pay as well as the differentials offered between shifts.)

Requirements

The Licensed Practical Nurse is a fast paced position and as such we must have someone who has the ability to multi-task and has a good grasp of patient assessment skills. In addition, the Licensed Practical Nurse must be licensed to practice nursing in the state in which the facility is located.

• Demonstrate clinical competency
