Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME, is hiring an LPN/LVN for the Med-Surgical unit. This full-time night shift (7p–7a) offers 12-hour shifts, direct and indirect patient care, and collaboration with RNs and physicians to ensure safety and quality outcomes.

Fast Hiring Process

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) provides direct and indirect patient care in a dynamic Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg / MST) unit. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), this role supports patient safety, care coordination, and quality outcomes while enhancing the overall patient experience.

Responsibilities:

• Provide bedside patient care in a Med-Surg environment
• Monitor vital signs, patient status, and clinical changes
• Assist with medication administration, IV therapy, and blood draws
• Support care plans and patient throughput
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams
• Ensure patient safety, infection control, and compliance
• Document care in EMR/EHR systems
• Communicate changes in patient condition promptly

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required.
• IV certificationandBlood Withdrawal (BW) certification within 90 days of hire date.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Work experience in health care preferred.

Pay Transparency:

Central Maine Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $27.00 to $30.75.
