Job summary

Betsy Ross Nursing & Rehab Center in Rome, NY is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with new higher rates to join our team. The role emphasizes direct resident care, teamwork, and timely communication with staff and families.

New management is renovating the facility while maintaining a focus on rehabilitation and quality nursing care. We offer benefits and a sign-on bonus for eligible full-time applicants.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of Nursing.
• Current license in good standing in New York as an LPN.
• Dedicated to providing extraordinary, clinically sound, and compassionate care.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily support to the unit leadership and respond appropriately/timely to resident/family needs within the LPN scope of practice.
• Use nursing process, judgment, and skills to set priorities necessary to deliver quality direct resident care and make decisions promoting safety and quality.
• Administer standard nursing treatments and/or medications and observe resident for effects.
• Collaborate with care team to revise/update Nursing Care Plan and review lab/test results, incidents, or concerns.
• Monitor and document vitals, treatments administered, and residents’ responses.
• Organize, oversee, and evaluate delivery of care for resident CNA assignments and activities.

• Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN, provide daily support to the unit leadership & respond appropriately/timely to resident/family needs within the LPN scope of practice
• Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN will use nursing process, judgment, & skills to set priorities necessary to deliver quality direct resident care & make decisions promoting the safety/quality direct care to resident’s
• Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN perform/administer standard nursing treatments and/or medications & observes resident for desired or unwanted effects
• Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN communicate & collaborate with appropriate member(s) within the care team to revise/update the Nursing Care Plan or any pertinent findings including lab/test results, incidents, &/or concerns
• Monitor & document vitals, treatments administered, & residents’ responses
• Prepare, organize, oversee, monitor, & evaluate delivery of care of resident CNA assignments & activities, considering the category of needs & competency of personnel

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of Nursing
• Current license in good standing in New York as an Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN
• Dedicated to providing extraordinary, clinically sound, & compassionate care
• Must possess a spirit of cooperation, caring & enthusiasm to create an atmosphere conducive to rehabilitation & optimal resident health
• Genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, elderly, & sometimes challenging residents
• Have excellent communication, customer service, & organization skills
• Work well under pressure & willing to work harmoniously with all staff
