Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) role based in Rochester, NY. The LPN will provide direct patient care in a pediatric setting, including rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, administering medications and vaccines as ordered, and assisting with procedures. Daily responsibilities include preparing exam rooms, updating patient records in the electronic health record, reviewing histories, and supporting providers during visits. The role also involves patient and caregiver education, triaging phone calls under supervision, and coordinating referrals, follow-up appointments, and prescription requests. The LPN will collaborate with the care team to ensure a safe, child-friendly environment and adherence to clinical protocols, infection control standards, and practice policies.

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New York State and current BLS/CPR certification.
• Experience in pediatric or family practice settings, with strong skills in obtaining vital signs, administering vaccines, and supporting routine pediatric procedures.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR), accurate documentation, and basic computer skills for scheduling and communication.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact respectfully with children, caregivers, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
