Tryfacta is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for our client in Rochester, NY 14621-3011. This 13-week contract role involves night shifts (19:00-07:00) with guaranteed 48 hours per week.

The pay range is $45-$50 per hour, with float rotation as needed and EPIC documentation. Responsibilities include patient care across medical-surgical units, collaboration with RNs and the healthcare team, and adherence to infection control and safety protocols.

Position Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

Location: Rochester, NY 14621-3011.

Duration: 13-week

Work Schedule: Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)

Guaranteed Hours: 48/wk.

Pay rate: $45/hr- $50/hr

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Float to other units as needed, within the nurse's competency and skill set.
• Collaborate with RNs and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support patient safety and continuity of care.
• Document nursing care, medications, treatments, and patient responses in the EPIC system.
• Recognize emergencies and activate Rapid Response or Code Teams when necessary.
• Maintain infection-control standards and follow isolation precautions.
• Follow heparin protocols and provide care for patients with temporary or permanent pacemakers.
• Monitor patients on telemetry and recognize changes requiring prompt clinical intervention.
• Assist with oxygen administration, tracheostomy care, and feeding tube management.
• Provide peripheral IV, central line, and PICC line care, along with phlebotomy and IV maintenance within the applicable scope of practice.
• Perform wound care, wound VAC management, surgical drain care, and post-operative care.
• Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders and facility protocols.
• Manage an assigned patient load of approximately 5–6 patients with RN support.
• Assess patients' conditions, monitor vital signs, and report changes in health status to the RN or healthcare provider.
• Provide direct nursing care to patients in a complex medical-surgical unit, including medical, orthopedic, and complex long-term care patients.
