Job summary

Excelsior Orthopaedics, LLP is seeking a dedicated LPN to support our clinical operations. You will assist providers, manage patient flow, and perform cast applications, wound care, and routine nursing tasks in a fast-paced orthopedic setting.

The role requires NYS LPN license and experience in high-volume offices; MEDENT EMR experience is preferred. You will work on-site in a clinic that values patient safety and efficient care delivery.

Qualifications

• Valid NYS LPN license or ATC/BOC certification.
• 2+ years in a high-volume medical office preferred.
• Wound care and casting experience highly preferred.
• EMR knowledge required; MEDENT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical support to providers and ensure safe, positive patient experiences.
• Perform duties in Express, Cast Room, and pods; apply/remove casts, sutures, staples, braces.
• Take vitals, obtain history, and update electronic medical records.
• Schedule follow-ups, handle medical records requests, and respond to patient inquiries.
• Maintain exam rooms and assist with supplies as needed.

Job SummaryThis position works on a clinical operations team providing clinical support to our providers while ensuring our patients have a safe and positive experience.Duties and ResponsibilitiesWork closely with clinical leadership to ensure smooth patient flow in the operational areas.Perform clinical duties in all areas including Express, Cast Room, and pods.Perform clinical duties such as the application and removal of casts, sutures, staples, braces.Perform wound care and deliver patient education.Respond to triages as needed or assigned in accordance with standard operating procedures.Room patients, take vitals and history, update electronic medical chart as needed.Update and maintain patient medical records, including visit details, insurance and contact information.Service patient after visit with appropriate paperwork, schedule follow-up appointment, send out medical records as requested, and answer any patient inquiries.Maintain exam rooms to appropriate regulatory standards.Audit new patient charts.Work as a team to replenish exam room and clinical supplies, including office supplies for designated area.Train others as needed or directed.Perform other duties as assigned by manager.Requirements and QualificationsValid NYS LPN License or ATC BOC certification.2+ years experience in high volume medical office rooming patients preferred, but not required.Experience in wound care, casting highly preferred.EMR knowledge required, MEDENT preferred.Physical DemandsManual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.Corrected vision and hearing within normal range to observe and communicate with patients, providers, and staff.Frequent reaching, stooping, squatting, bending, kneeling, and crouching.Extensive standing and walking required.Occasional lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds.Position requires full range of body motion including ability to position and move patients.Work environment may involve some exposure to hazards/physical risk.The pay range for this position is determined based on several factors, including the candidate’s years of experience, qualifications, training, licenses, designations, and the overall market conditions.This job description does not state or imply that the duties and responsibilities listed are the only ones required of this position.
