Job summary

Cambridge Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking new graduate nurses for full-time night and day shifts in a resident-focused setting. New grads welcome with a starting pay range of $38 per hour, with adjustments based on experience and shift type (Weekdays Eve $1, Weekends Days $1, Eve $5, Nights $8).

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Experience with resident care and standard nursing procedures.
• Ability to administer medications per the five rights and document accordingly.
• Team-based care approach and age-appropriate care considerations.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe resident care with competency in treatments and procedures.
• Incorporate age-specific needs and care plans.
• Complete routine tasks independently; ensure accurate documentation.
• Communicate resident information and care plans during shifts and handoffs.
• Accurately administer medications and document administration.
• Perform treatments using sterile or clean techniques and manage external feedings as prescribed.
• Demonstrate Cambridge Rehabilitation and Nursing Center values in daily practice.
• Complete resident care tasks within scheduled shifts and respond to emergencies.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to reallocate duties as needed for resident care.

Functions

• Provides safe resident care, demonstrating knowledge and competency in completing assigned treatments and procedures according to established standards and policies. Maintains awareness of new updates standards and incorporates them into his/her nursing practice throughout the continuum of care.
• Incorporates age-specific needs, provision of care, procedures, and treatments.
• Accurately completes routine tasks without the need of supervision.
• Communicates pertinent resident information and plan of care before breaks, during transfer, and at shift report.
• Accurately administers medications according to the five rights of medication administration and documentation of same.
• Accurately performs treatments utilizing sterile or clean technique.
• Accurately administers external feedings.
• Demonstrates the mission, vision, and values of Cambridge Rehabilitation and Nursing Center through professional excellence.
• Completes resident care-related activities within scheduled shift time periods.
• Exercises calm behavior and uses professional judgment while working in a team approach during emergency situations.
• Cooperates with reassignments made in the interest of resident care.
• Reports resident care problems and possible solutions to the appropriate nursing management personnel.
• Delegates resident care problems and possible solutions to the appropriate nursing management personnel.
