Job summary

The North Mississippi Health Services is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at the Baldwyn Clinic to provide nursing care and support the medical plan of care. You will maintain patient records and teach patients and families for continuing care after discharge.

Work hours are Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm. You will collaborate with medical staff and other departments to ensure quality care across age groups, from adolescents to geriatrics, while upholding hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Must meet continuing education requirements.
• Maintains knowledge and resources to provide care for adolescent, newborn/infant, adult and geriatrics.
• Must organize and prioritize work assignments.
• Delegates assignments to nursing assistants and unit secretaries.
• Assist new employees in orientation.
• Must project a positive image of the unit to all customers.
• Maintain good working relationships with Medical Staff and all ancillary departments.
• Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills.

Job Description:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at North Mississippi Health Services, the primary responsibility is to provide nursing care, support the medical plan of care, and maintain patient records in compliance with hospital policies and procedures. LPNs also offer patient and family teaching for continuing care during and after discharge, working under stressful situations to ensure quality care for patients across various age groups.
