Job summary

Janco, Inc. in New Hampshire seeks a skilled plumber to install, repair and maintain plumbing and heating systems and fixtures. You will read blueprints and building specs, work with various piping materials, and keep detailed reports while ensuring safety compliance.

The role is full-time, hourly, Monday–Friday, 7am–3:30pm, reporting to the Master Plumber. NH Master/Journeyman license required; gasfitter license preferred; valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• Must have plumbing experience in mechanical/HVAC.
• Knowledgeable of plumbing techniques, supplies, and tools.
• Knowledgeable of applicable codes and requirements.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Read blueprints and piping diagrams.
• Able to solder pipes for repairs or installations.
• Mechanical knowledge and basic contracting skills.
• Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Work well independently and in a team.
• Detail oriented, organized and punctual.
• Clear, concise communication.
• Good work ethic and positive attitude.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and access heights.

Responsibilities

• Reports directly to the Master Plumber.
• Communicate and work with Master Plumber to identify the best solutions and progress on jobs/tasks.
• Install, repair and maintain plumbing & heating systems and fixtures.
• Perform routine inspections, diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues and units.
• Interpret blueprints and building specifications required for each job site.
• Utilize and work with copper, steel, cast iron, PVC, CPVC, PEX, and other piping.
• Keep detailed reports of work done and manage work log.
• Keep up to date with applicable current safety regulations and requirements.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
