Job summary

Corewell Health in Dearborn is seeking a dedicated plumber to operate, maintain, repair, and install the hospital's plumbing infrastructure. This role supports patient care by ensuring reliable systems and timely response to customer needs.

The position requires a State of Michigan licensed plumber and extensive hands-on experience in large facilities. You will perform preventive maintenance, read blueprints, and install new fixtures and systems on a day shift.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5 years of relevant experience documenting work in operation, maintenance, repair, and installation of plumbing infrastructure in a 400,000 sq. ft. commercial, industrial or institutional facility.
  • Licensed Plumber – STATE_MI State of Michigan upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Repair plumbing fixtures throughout the Hospital & Medical center.
  • Perform preventive maintenance assignments on required equipment.
  • Maintain hospital sewer system including drain maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot supply water problems and correct them.
  • Read and understand Hospital Mechanical blueprints.
  • Installation of new equipment (fixtures and systems).

Job Summary

Under general direction, responsible for the operation, maintenance, repair, and installation of the plumbing infrastructure in a safe, effective, and efficient manner in response to or in support of the customer's needs.

Essential Functions
  • Repair plumbing fixtures throughout the Hospital & Medical center.
  • Perform preventive maintenance assignments on required equipment.
  • Maintain hospital sewer system including drain maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot supply water problems and correct them.

Pay Range

Pay between $29.43 and $34.99, based on experience.
