Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist, the Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant provides direct physical therapy services for patients in Geriatric Services or for inpatient and outpatient in the acute care facility as prescribed by a physician and reviewed by the Licensed Physical Therapist in accordance with the patient's established plan of care.

  • Assists in organizing patient care and activities in collaboration with a Licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Provides individualized patient care and documents all aspects of care according to standards.
  • Performs patient care activities proficiently.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA) in Texas.
  • Associate Degree from an accredited PTA program.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a hospital/IPR/skilled setting.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
  • Ability to pick up two weekend shifts per month (start time flexible).
