Job summary

Mercy Health, a faith-based health system, seeks a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to work at St. Vincent Medical Center in Ohio. You will deliver patient treatments under a PT, document progress, and educate patients and families while collaborating with the care team.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: 2 Year/Associates Degree.
• Licensed in State of Ohio PT/OT/AT Board.
• CPR Certification preferred.
• Clinical practicums during education.

Responsibilities

• Administers physical therapy treatments and modalities under a Physical Therapist.
• Instructs and assists patients and families in continued PT programs and use of adaptive equipment.
• Observes and reports patients' responses to treatment and progress to the Physical Therapist.
• Collaborates with PT and health team to plan, modify and coordinate treatment programs.
• Supervises rehab aides and oversees related patient care areas.
• Precepts students during clinical experiences/internships.
• Stays current with new developments and technology in physical therapy.
