Job summary

ProHealth Home Health and Hospice seeks a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA) to provide intermittent in-home physical therapy under the supervision of a Registered Physical Therapist. The role supports patient independence and quality of life by delivering prescribed interventions in patients' homes.

Ideal candidates hold an Alabama license, have a two-year degree approved by the APTA, and preferably two years of experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a two-year college level program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Currently licensed, registered or certified in the state(s) in which practicing.
• Two (2) years’ experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides physician prescribed physical therapy under a plan of care established by the PT.
• Implements interventions to improve or minimize residual disabilities.
• Participates in patient care planning with the health care team.
• Maintains accurate medical records and progress notes.
• Educates patients and families in home programs and activities of daily living.
