Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health seeks a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to support therapeutic interventions and document patient progress in the electronic health record. The role spans inpatients, outpatients, pediatrics and off-site locations under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

Licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the current practice state is required, with BLS often required within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of current practice (required)
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, required within 30 days for BSMH, required at hire for RSFH)

Responsibilities

• Provides age-appropriate therapeutic interventions as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Maintains accurate and concise records on treatment and progress.
• Maintains productivity without compromising quality.
• Precepts in clinical experience/internship programs.
• Adheres to departmental safety, infection control, time-off and timecard policies.
• Monitors and reports patient responses and progress to the Physical Therapist.
