Summary: The Staff Physical Therapists Assistant provides patient care assessment and treatment. Identify, plan, and participate in rehabilitative programs that improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and decrease/prevent deformity. Responsible for mentoring Therapists, Assistants, Technicians, and Students. Collaborates with other healthcare team members and physicians in a multi‑disciplinary fashion to deliver the highest quality of care. Participates in CQI activities. Facilitates the provision of excellent customer service.

• EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program.
• PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: None
• LICENSURE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION: Current NC Board of Physical Therapy Examiners license or eligible.
• KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS: Analytical abilities to delegate personnel, problem solve with positive solutions. Good interpersonal and communication skills required to facilitate interactions with stated customers and staff members.
• WORK ENVIRONMENT: Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, temperature changes and occasional noxious odors. Stressful work periods occasionally encountered.
• PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT: Standing for most of the day lifting/assisting patients with transfers, bed mobility and ambulation as well as their exercise programs.
