Delray Medical Center is seeking a Staff Physical Therapy Assistant to provide direct patient treatment under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. The role emphasizes adherence to care plans, HIPAA compliance, and collaboration with nurses and physicians to achieve optimal outcomes.

This per diem, day-shift position requires a Florida PTA license, Associate degree, and current BLS CPR certification. Come contribute to high-quality rehab services within a supportive team.

• Assists all patients, family members, physicians, visitors and employees in a professional and courteous manner.
• Adheres to environmental care standards.
• Demonstrates the ability to adapt to varied age-specific patient populations

The Staff Physical Therapy Assistant is a licensed practitioner who provides direct patient treatment services as delegated and supervised by the Physical Therapist. He/she carries out treatment program according to the plan of care in accordance with the facilities policies and procedures related to care and treatment of the patient; treats patients in order to produce effective outcomes; communicates and assists in resolving problems; demonstrates effective resource utilization that is critical to operational stability within the organization and participates in performance improvement and program growth.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

• Associate's Degree in Science or other education recognized by the State of Florida as qualification for Physical Therapy Assistant licensure.

EXPERIENCE:

• Experience desired, but not required

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION:

• Florida license as a Physical Therapy Assistant from the Agency of Health Care Administration's Division of Medical Quality Assurance.
• Current AHA BLS CPR certification
