Job summary

Gulf Coast Village Home Health in Cape Coral, FL, seeks a Licensed Physical Therapist to join our therapy team. This on-site role offers a dedicated environment delivering person-centered care and opportunities to impact residents’ recovery and daily living.

We value growth, teamwork, and compassionate service. Eligible candidates will hold a Florida PT license, have at least one year of experience, and be CPR certified. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Active Florida license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• Minimum one year of experience as a Physical Therapist.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs physical therapy assessments and skilled procedures for residents under a Plan of Care.
• Implements teaching tailored to residents' needs and environments.
• Contributes to ongoing quality improvement efforts.
• Promotes safety and a safe environment for residents and coworkers.
• Supervises applicable team members and PT assistants as directed.
• Evaluates employee performance and provides timely feedback.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Pay Range: $44.00-$56.50
Schedule: Mon-Fri 8a-5p (Some weekends will be required.)

What You Bring (Requirements)

• Graduate of a Physical Therapy program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association, the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association, or the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association and the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Current License to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
• Minimum one (1) year of experience as a Physical Therapist.
• CPR certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and good interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge in the principles and practices of physical therapy.

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Performs physical therapy assessments, diagnostic tests, skilled procedures, and ongoing evaluation for residents who are receiving services under a medically approved Plan of Care.
• Implements teaching appropriate to the resident’s needs and within the context of his/her environment and value system.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the ongoing quality improvement process.
• Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for residents and coworkers.
• Supervises applicable team members.
• Supervision of physical therapist assistants as directed and according to department policy
• Evaluates employee performance and provides timely reviews as delegated.
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.
